Sales Manager (For Malaga Office)

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES:

  • To develops all type of sales activities such as:
  1. Participation in international trade fairs and workshops
  2. Organizing and undertaking door-to-door sales calls
  3. Organizing and undertaking familiarization trips
  • To produce regular newsletters in cooperation with the Area Directors and the IT & Communications department
  • To continuously research new potential clients
  • When appropriate, to collaborate with the Project Manager in the initial phase of specific sales
  • To participate in Project Management when necessary
  • To remain in constant contact with the network of sales representatives
  • To produce regular communications for the media
  • To participate in the production of marketing material
  • To develop new products for the MICE business

YOUR PROFILE (Required Skills):

  • We are looking for candidates with minimum of 3 years experience on in DMC Project and Sales Management.
  • Enthusiasm for Spain and Portugal as a MICE destination
  • Project management skills with ability to multitask
  • Commercial thinking with sales and consultancy flair
  • Excellent organization and advanced MS Office skills
  • Ability to relate to clients.
  • Good communication skills with excellent command of English and Spanish (oral and written). Knowledge of any other additional language will be valued.

  • Venue searching, including effective negotiation and contract details
  • Supplier selection and management
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure projects briefs are followed accurately
  • Full event logistic
  • Budget management and reconciliation
  • On-site event management
  • Updating of client database with all relevant information on clients and marketing and sales activities

Duties involve the development of these requests into viable, desirable and personalised programmes for incentive groups, conference programmes, product launches etc. Ideas are developed through continuous contact with our clients, special negotiations with suppliers and a combination of inventiveness with detailed accuracy. Once successfully sold the next step is the client inspection visit, more personalised adjustments to the programme and finally its successful implementation. The work is demanding but fun and rewarding.
